Second Rate Mom

I’m your run of the mill suburban cliché. I’m a stay-at-home mom to two sassy girls, and wife to a middle-aged insurance agent. I drive a minivan, enjoy drinking wine, and I carry a few more pounds than I did in my glory days. And like nearly every other mother I know, I sometimes feel like I’m failing at this whole motherhood gig.

In part, I started blogging because people kept telling me that I should. But mostly I started a blog because I’m a woman with too many random thoughts and opinions, and let’s face it, there’s only so much a poor husband can listen to before his eyes glaze over. Thus, Second Rate Mom was born.
